What We Don't Say

A family stands together at the water's edge a father, a mother, a daughter holding a bubble wand, caught in a quiet, ordinary moment. But their faces are gone, dissolved into blur and brushstroke, wiped clean of expression. Behind them, the sky fractures into jagged strokes of grey and blue, like something building just out of frame.
